I Am Supported
Sometimes a worried feeling shows up.
It can come when someone asks you for something.
Or when you want to help.
Or when you think people are counting on you.
The feeling sounds like this:
“If I get it wrong, I will let them down.”
“I feel scared inside, but I can’t show it.”
So you try to look okay on the outside.
Even when you feel uncomfortable inside.
You might try very hard to do everything right.
You might say yes even when you feel tired.
You might keep going, even when you just want to stop.
You don’t want to disappoint anyone.
You don’t want to be the reason someone feels sad.
Or upset.
Or let down.
So you try to hold everything together.
You don’t tell anyone.
You hope for the best.
You worry a little inside.
Even when no one has asked you to do all of that.
This can make your chest feel tight.
It can make your stomach feel heavy.
It can make feeling peaceful hard.
But here is something gentle and true.
You were never meant to hold everything on your own.
You were never meant to make everything work.
Other people’s happiness is not resting on your shoulders.
You do not have to get everything right to be okay.
You are allowed to be helped.
You are allowed to slow down.
You are allowed to stop.
Nothing bad happens when you rest.
Nothing falls apart because you pause.
You are not failing anyone by being human.
Right now,
you do not need to carry anything.
And right now,
I am holding you.
I am giving you My peace.
I love you, always.
Peace, be still.
